Tournament Reflections

The recent in-house tournament was marked by incredible energy, resilience, and pride. A total of 14 students were represented across the Kids, Teens, and Adults divisions, and outstanding performances were witnessed from all.

Throughout the day, strong technique, confidence, and discipline were demonstrated by every participant. From the youngest competitors to our most experienced adults, the true spirit of Kyosado was embodied at every stage.

Hapkido Tournament

KYOSADO proudly presents its upcoming Hapkido Championship, to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Kyosado Headquarters. This exciting event invites students of all ages and belt levels to demonstrate their skills in a spirit of respect, discipline, and martial excellence.

Kummooyeh Seminar

This July, a special Kummooyeh Seminar will be held, bringing together practitioners for an immersive training experience. The seminar will focus on the introduction and refinement of new techniques, as well as updates to forms and teaching methodologies.

Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their skills in traditional Korean swordsmanship and archery, train under experienced masters, and connect with fellow martial artists from different dojangs. The event promises to be both technically enriching and culturally inspiring — a must for all dedicated Kummooyeh students and instructors.

Hapkido Championship

In 2024, the prestigious Hapkido World Championship was held in Thailand, bringing together top martial artists from across the globe. Representing Australia with pride and determination, Master Eduardo Salazar and Jhon Contreras competed on the international stage, showcasing their skill, discipline, and passion for Hapkido.

Their participation not only highlighted the strength and spirit of the Australian Hapkido community but also marked a significant milestone in their martial arts journey. The championship served as a powerful moment of cultural exchange, sportsmanship, and global unity within the Hapkido tradition.
